Labor: Between Lisbon and London

The focus of the 4th Edition of the Lisbon Triennale in 2016, titled The Form of Form was on architecture as a material practice as much as a social one. Together with curator Pete Collard and film maker Richard John Seymour, I posed the question: ‘what is the role of the builder and other forms of labour in this process?’ As part of an inquiry into the relationships between architectural forms and the people that create them, we made a documentary film installation for the duration of the Trienal which explored how Portuguese labour - its builders, engineers and architects - built the global city of London.
