Punk and Architecture
The architecture practice Fourth Space runs the Ombra bar and restaurant in Hackney. I chaired a debate they hosted their during the London Festival of Architecture in 2018, on how punks and other countercultures were borne out of a discontent with the status quo. It was the position of the organisers that these ideas had failed to manifest themselves in architecture. Encouraging and provoking the gathered throng, I helped the panel and the audience test the idea in a thought-provoking fashion.
